Unit 9 - Picture Hoaxes - Lucy Pires

There's no question, with technology advances it's really easy to create hoaxes pictures.

The pictures below are very good examples of it.

The first picture about a shark must have been created using two pictures and then joined using software like Photoshop, I believe sharks don't live in bays like in the picture, and some stories about sharks had to have been caused by the famous 80's film called Shark.

The second picture about twin towers and the terrible September 11 attack, I guess it could be a hoax, because it's almost impossible any picture camera could be safe with the towers collapse and fire--again I think this picture must have been created joining two or more pictures.

The Third it's an interesting picture, because it's really difficult to our Latin-American society to think this could be possible in a first world country. I can't imagine a bus buried in a London street, but everything it's possible and this picture might have been taken in a real situation.

Many people do this pictures for fun and then share with their partners using actual technologies (email, instant messaging, Web pages, blogs) and other people could think are real pictures.
